Please be advised that your registration is completed only after payment of the invoice that you received after registering.
- If you have submitted an abstract and/or if you have registered for the course Introduction to Victimology, your payment should be received before 10 April 2012. After this date we cannot guarantee that your abstract will be included in the Book of Abstracts, nor can we guarantee your participation in the course.
- If you will not submit an abstract, but want to qualify for the standard conference fee, you will have to make sure that your payment is received before 1 May 2012. As of 1 May 2012 the (higher) on-site rate applies.
- If we have not received your payment by 17 May 2012 at the latest, please understand that you will have to pay the conference fee in cash on the conference site. In case your payment is received by bank after May 17 and as a consequence you paid in cash on the conference site, you are entitled to a refund of your bank transfer payment (minus administration costs). Please, send a notification to the Symposium Organising Committee (management@14thsymposiumwsv.nl). Refunds will be made after May 2012.

| Buy a ticket for the Closing Dinner |
 |
| On Thursday 24 May, the 14th International Symposium WSV will end with a closing dinner in restaurant Strandclub Doen!. This restaurant is beautifully located at the beach of Scheveningen and will host us from 19.00 to 22.00 hours. The dinner costs are 60 Euros and include four drinks. Starters and a desert will be served, while the main courses will be presented at a luxurious buffet (walking dinner) . Your dietary preferences will be taken into account as much as possible. Preferably, you registered for the Closing Dinner while registering for the symposium. If you have registered for the symposium already and you would still like to join the Symposium’s final event, you will be able to buy a Closing Dinner ticket at the registration help desk on Sunday 20 May or Monday 21 May (cash only). |

| Book accommodation as soon as possible because of public holiday |
 |
| It is highly recommended to make reservations for accommodation in The Hague as soon as possible, since the public holiday Ascension Day (17 May) ensures that the city will be bustling with both Dutch and international tourists. | Introduction to Victimology |
 |
Over 30 participants have registered for the two-day introductory course “Introduction to Victimology”. Hence, it is hereby confirmed that this course will take place on 15 and 16 May. The course will be held at The Hague Institute for Global Justice (Sophialaan 10, 2514 JR The Hague).
The programme consists of two full days of lectures, with the first day particularly reviewing the study of victimisation, while the second primarily addresses responses to victimisation. The course will be closed by a social drink on 16 May. All participants will receive a certificate for partaking in this course that is recognized by the World Society of Victimology. You may still register for this introduction until the 15th of April. More information can be found here. |

| Students must bring a letter stating that they are a student |
 |
| During the registration procedure at the World Forum in The Hague, students must be able to prove that they are registered students. Therefore, please bring prove of you student-status to the conference by showing a letter from your university and signed by the Dean of your faculty which states your name, your student identification number and the study program you are enrolled in. If your student status cannot be proved on site, you will have to pay the extra costs in cash at the registration desk (€ 30). |
